Books fiction The Mists of Avalon will always be one of my favorites. I like any Arthurian novels. Mary Stewart, Bernard Cornwall really too many to name. I like the Rowan Gant novels by MR Sellars. Little Big by John Crowley. I am one of those "Too many books too little time" kind of people. Right now my 12 year old has me reading Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. It is a novel told in poems. The Fifth Sacred Thing and Walking TO Mercury, by Starhawk two highly overlooked novels. I like the Karen Hightower books by Rosemary Edgehill. I think people who only read Practical Magic are missing out on some wonderful stuff by Alice Hoffman. My favorite Author I guess would have to be Margaret Atwood. Neil Gaiman is Great if you haven't read anything by him please do so American Gods is excellent The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams is the best five book trilogy ever written. Also his Dirk Gently books, especially The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul should not be missed. Non fiction: Again way Too many to name. Any book on Tarot I will give more than a fair shot at. Jung and Tarot by Sallie Nichols, Wheel of the Tarot edited by Angelis Arrien and James Waneless is excellent. Forest of Souls by Rachel Pollack is a good one too. Natural Magick and Witchcraft for Tomorrow by Doreen Valiente are invaluable. Anything and I mean anything by Starhawk I love love love that woman. I think All pagans should read at least one book by Gerald Gardner and one by the Farrars. This is the 40th anniversary of the summer of love and we delved into it over the last few months. I read a book on the Beatles and one on Donovan. Other people in the house read some about Cream, the hippies in general, the whole Paul is Dead legend and the discussions in our house lately have been some of the best ever.

Hobbies Tarot, really more than a hobby, but I love talking about the cards listening to other people talk about the cards looking at different decks. I collect decks I guess that would qualify as a hobby. I paint, again not a hobby, but it is what I do. It keeps me sane. I can express my self better on one canvas than I can in a weeks worth of talking. I am extremely visually oriented. I love the feel of the paint sliding over the canvas, I like the smell of paint, I even like cleaning up my brushes later. I can reach places when I paint that cannot be expressed in this space, but WOW

Heroes My heroes are those who are out of the closets. I am in and out of my little broom closet for various reasons, but those who are paving the way for my daughter to not have to live the way I have , have my utmost respect.
